Inter Milan vs Fiorentina Prediction & Betting Tips - Serie A

Inter Milan will continue their Champions League qualification push this weekend when they welcome an in-form Fiorentina side to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza for a showdown in the Serie A on Saturday evening. The hosts are currently in third place in the league with 50 points in 27 matches, 21 points behind runaway leaders Napoli, and two points above their closest rivals AC Milan in fourth. Inter are in a bit of a difficult patch at the moment and slipped to third place last week following their 1-0 loss to Juventus. That loss was their third in their last six league matches, along with a draw and two wins. However, at home, Inter has been relatively good this season, with 11 wins and three losses in their 14 matches at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Inter would have welcomed the break with fixtures piling up in domestic and continental competitions, so they should strip fitter in this one, but they cannot underestimate a Fiorentina side that is eying up a strong end to the season. 

Fiorentina, meanwhile, is enjoying an excellent run of form in league and cup competitions and come into this match unbeaten in their last 10 matches in all competitions. The visitors held on to a 1-0 win in their last league match against Lecce, extending their unbeaten run in league matches to five, four of which were wins. Fiorentina has gotten themselves into ninth place in Serie A with 37 points in 27 matches and will still have very real hopes of competing for a European Cup qualification spot, currently eight points behind Atalanta in sixth place. However, despite their strong form in recent weeks, Fiorentina’s record away from home this season has been fairly poor, taking just 15 points from a possible 39 (W4, D3, L6). Fiorentina has not beaten this opposition in their last 11 attempts, but with the form they’re in, they will be confident that they can take something from this one.
