A jam-packed midweek in the NPFL will see Ikorodu City taking on Kano Pillars at Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Wednesday afternoon. The Oga Boys and Sai Masu Gida are locked on 28 points apiece and are in seventh and eighth place respectively, though the latter has played a game less. Check out our match prediction below!

Ikorodu City have made a decent start to their first season in the top flight, currently holding a record of eight wins, four draws and eight defeats in their 20 games. 

The Oga Boys were involved in a seven-goal thriller over the weekend against Sunshine United but came out on the wrong end of a 4-3 scoreline. Despite this, they are seven points clear of the drop. 

While the hosts have only won one of their last five league games, they have been excellent at home lately, unbeaten in their last eight matches, seven of which ended in victory. 

Meanwhile, Kano Pillars have been unable to string a run of results together this season, having only managed to win two consecutive games once after 19 matches. 

Most recently, Sai Masu Gida overcame Enyimba 2-0 at home, taking their recent record to three wins and three defeats in their last six games. Notably, they failed to score in any of the losses in that period. 

Much of the visitors' struggles this season have come on the road, where they are riding a three-match losing streak and have earned just eight points from a possible 30 to date.
