Iceland had a great 3-0 win in Turkey on Friday and went top of the group when Finland grabbed a late equalizer in  Croatia. Now they lead the group by two points and only need a win over bottom of the table Kosovo to reach their first ever World Cup finals. A draw would still get them through if the Ukraine v Croatia game ended in a draw. Iceland have won all four of their home games in this group and only Finland have scored against them on home territory and they are unbeaten in their last seven home World Cup qualifiers. They should be able to make it eight and win the group as they host a Kosovo side that has just one point from their first nine qualifiers. They managed to get a draw in Finland but have lost their other three away games and have been beaten in their last eight internationals scoring just twice. One of those goals was in the reverse fixture when they lost 2-1 at home to Iceland.  They don't suffer many heavy defeats though, take away the 6-0 home loss to Croatia and they have only conceded 16 goals in their other eight qualifiers. This is the perfect opportunity for Iceland to make history, go for them to win on a -1 handicap.
