Hungary have it all to do if they want to avoid relegation in the Nations League. Turkey won the home leg of this play-off 3-1 and have an excellent chance of being promoted to League A. Can the Magyars get back into this tie? Here's our match prediction.
Turkey took an early lead in Thursday's first leg, scoring after just nine minutes. Hungary levelled in the 25th minute but two second-half goals put the Turks in charge of this play-off. The Crescent Stars finished second in their Nations League group and are now in with a great chance of winning a second successive promotion in this competition. If doing so, they will be playing in League A for the first time.
Only one of their last four away Nations League matches has been won. Both teams have scored in three of those matches.
Hungary had a tough Nations League draw and finished third behind Germany and the Netherlands. All three of their home group games were drawn and another will see them playing in League B in the next competition.

Hungary have been in League A since 2022 but their time in the top-flight looks like coming to an end. They trail 3-1 from the away leg and have not won a home game since beating Israel in a friendly in June 2024.
They will need to be attacking from the start with a two-goal deficit to make up. That may well lead to gaps at the back, especially if goals don't come early on. Turkey played well in the first leg and regularly score on their travels.
