Hungary have the chance to go top of Group G in the Euro 2024 qualifiers when they host Lithuania. Second with four points, Hungary are two behind Serbia while Lithuania have one point, in fourth. After opening their campaign with a 3-0 win over Bulgaria, Hungary failed to keep the momentum. They are coming from a 0-0 draw with Montenegro away from home. Before that draw they have three straight home wins. Going into this clash they also have three straight clean sheets. Three times in the last five matches, Hungary have scored two goals or more. They haven't lost a game in their last five outings. This meeting will be the first in eight years pitting these two nations. Hungary have dominated the five meetings between the two, winning four.

Lithuania have avoided defeat in their last two matches. The 1-1 draw with Bulgaria in the last game saw them collect the first point in this group. It was a good recovery from a 2-0 loss to Serbia in the opening round. Lithuania’s recent run is however not so pleasing, as they have no win in 12 matches. Their scoring form is largely to blame for such; they have failed to score in five of their last six matches. In their last 10 matches, Lithuania have scored just three goals. Meanwhile, they’ve conceded two or more in half of their last 10 matches. This scoring form has been worse away from home; they’ve failed to score in the last five away matches.
