Huddersfield Town vs West Brom Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Huddersfield Town host West Bromwich Albion in what is a crucial Championship league game affecting both the bottom and the top of the division. For the home side Terriers, their immediate concern is to secure points to move them away from the drop zone. They remain outside the bottom three only due to scoring more goals this season than Stoke City, but a win could move them right up the table. Andre Breitenreiter's team have lost two of their last five games, but their form at home is erratic recently with a win over Sunderland, followed by a loss to Hull City and then a creditable draw with an in-form Leeds United. Last weekend, the Terriers travelled to South Wales but lost 1-0 to Cardiff, which leaves them in a perilous position in the table. They beat West Brom 2-1 at the Hawthorns earlier this season inflicting a rare home defeat on the Baggies.

For West Brom fans and players, this game is about cementing fifth spot in the Championship table and hopefully closing the gap a little to Southampton above them. Carlos Corboeran's team have lost just one of their last eight Championship games (a 0-2 home defeat to Southampton), but they have just one away win (and three draws) in their four away games in that run, including last weekend's 2-2 draw away to QPR. With just 10 games of the season to go, it is unlikely West Brom will be able to claw their way into the outright promotion spots, but they will need to pick up wins to keep the pack of teams chasing the playoffs off their tails.  They have struggled on the road this season, ranking just 12th in the Championship away from home winning just five of their 18 games on the road.
