Huddersfield Town vs Hull Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Huddersfield Town and Hull City will square off in the Championship on Saturday afternoon. The hosts are currently in 20th place, while the visitors are eighth in the league standings. Huddersfield have found wins hard to come by this season. They have won just seven games in 32 this term, along with 13 draws and 12 losses. That leaves them on 34 points, five points above Queens Park Rangers, who are the first side below the dotted line. The Terriers got a much-needed three points in midweek, beating Sunderland 1-0 at home. While their form has not been incredible across the course of the season, Huddersfield have shown improvement this year, managing eight points in their last five games and only losing to third-placed Southampton in that time. At home, the Terriers have taken ten points from the last 15 on offer, which followed a five-match winless streak leading up to Christmas. However, they were beaten 1-0 by this opponent in the reverse fixture back in November and the bookies make them outsiders heading into this one. 

Meanwhile, after finishing down in 15th place last term, Hull City are enjoying a much better campaign this time around. They are currently well in the hunt for a spot in the playoffs, currently level with sixth-placed Coventry City on 48 points and with a game in hand on the teams around them. The Tigers bounced back from an unexpected 1-0 defeat to Swansea City last weekend with a 2-1 win over Rotherham in midweek and will be hoping to build up some momentum before their clash with The Saints at the weekend. In away league fixtures this season, Hull have taken 23 points out of a potential 45 (W7 D2  L6) and head into this one following back-to-back victories over Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland in their last two outings. Still, while Hull are the favourites here, they have lost each of their last three visits to John Smith's Stadium and failed to score in any of those matches.
