Hoffenheim had a good win in midweek away at Union Berlin. That took them to eight in the Bundesliga, five places and six points behind their opponents in this match, Borussia Dortmund. Hoffenheim desperately needed that victory as they had been beaten in three of their last four league games. All a bit disappointing considering they had won the previous five. Home form has seen Hoffenheim rather inconsistent this season. Three home league games have been won but four lost. Hoffenheim come into this game having no wins in their last three home league games and having conceded ten goals in those matches.
