It's all going well for Hibs so far this season and they are already through to the third qualifying round of the Europa League where they face Molde. They had a good season last year finishing fourth in the table earning them that Europa League spot. Their home form is impressive with no defeats in their last 12 competitive fixtures and they did well against Motherwell on home territory with no defeats in three matches. Hopefully their trip to Asteras Tripolis on Thursday won't take too much out of them and they will be ready for this opening league fixture.
Motherwell finished seventh in the Scottish Premiership last season, 21 points behind Hibernian. Away form was their big problem with just four wins and nine defeats and their last nine away league games have seen them only score four goals and that included several games against teams in the lower part of the table after the league was split in two for the closing part of the season. News came through this week that striker Ryan Bowman will be out for six weeks with an injury to add to the fact that Charles Dunne is out for four months. Hibs have made a good start to their season and can get a home win here.
