Hertha Berlin finished seventh in the Bundesliga last season to qualify for the Europa League. It looked as if they'd finish a bit higher than that but only managed eight points from their final ten league games.They only lost three home league games all season though and will be hard to beat here. Brondby had an easy first qualifying round tie as they hammered Valur 10-1 on aggregate. The next qualifying round was nowhere as easy even though they were up against Scottish Championship side Hibs. They won the away leg but then went down to a 1-0 home loss in the second leg. It took a penalty shoot-out to get them into this third qualifying round. Hertha play in a much stronger league than their Danish opponents and can get a good home win to take into the second leg.
