Hatayspor Antakya vs Besiktas Istanbul Prediction & Betting Tips - Super Lig

Hatayspor will play host to Besiktas in the Super Lig at Mersin Stadyumu on Monday. The hosts are currently in 11th place in the league standings, while the visitors are fifth. After being forced to withdraw from the league last season, Hatayspor have made a decent start in the first half of the current campaign. They are on 19 points after 16 matches and could move up to a spot in the table with a win here. The Falcons have managed four wins, seven draws and five losses this season and are four points above the relegation zone. The hosts played out a 0-0 draw away to Ankaragucu in midweek, marking their fourth consecutive match without a win. The last time they tasted victory in the league was a 2-1 win over Galatasaray on November 11. However, they have been quite good at home, losing just once in seven matches at Mersin Stadyumu. Hatay won the last match against this opponent 2-1 last season and are unbeaten against Besiktas in their last three. 

Meanwhile, things have not gone according to plan for Besiktas as yet this season. They have taken 26 points from their 16 matches and are already trailing Fenerbahce and Galatasaray by a whopping 17 points before the midway point of the season. The Black Eagles suffered a second consecutive league loss in midweek, beaten 3-1 by Alanyaspor, which followed a defeat to Fenerbahce by the same scoreline a couple of weeks ago. That result also marked their third defeat in their last five games in all competitions, with their only win in that time coming against Lugano in the Conference League. The visitors' last away game ended in a 1-1 draw against Ankaragucu and they are unbeaten in their last four on the road in all competitions. Despite failing to beat this opponent in their last three attempts, the bookmakers have the visitors down as the favourites in this one.
