Guinea - Senegal: Form Analysis
A draw will secure Syli National's passage to the next round, and with Senegal likely resting players for upcoming battles post the group stage, Guinea may sense an opportunity to achieve a favourable result here. Guinea previously held Cameroon to a 1-1 draw in the opening round, taking an early lead through Mohamed Bayo. The team could have maintained that advantage if captain Francois Kamano hadn't received a straight red card towards the end of the first half. Guinea moved closer to qualification with a solid 1-0 victory over Gambia, showing excellent defensive solidity by not allowing a single shot on target in the match. In their last five games across competitions, Guinea have won three, drawn one, and lost one. Notably, they have not conceded more than one goal in any of these matches, with all but one game ending with fewer than three goals.
The Lions of Teranga are already guaranteed a spot in the knockout rounds, having won their first two matches in the competition. Senegal started their AFCON campaign impressively, claiming a 3-0 victory over Gambia, where Lamine Camara became the youngest Senegalese ever to score two goals in an AFCON game. That result was followed by another impressive performance against Cameroon, where they ran out 3-1 winners to secure their passage to the next round. Clearly standing out in the competition, Senegal appears to be a notch above the rest. It will likely require an extraordinary performance from another participating nation to halt their progress. Senegal are in exceptional form, with four wins and one draw in their last five games, conceding only one goal in the process while having scored 11 in that time.

Guinea & Senegal Squad Analysis
Guinea will be without their captain, Francois Kamano, who received a straight red card in the team's 1-1 draw against Cameroon in the first game. Additionally, there are concerns over the availability of Serhou Guirassy, who is dealing with a hamstring strain, and Issiaga Sylla, who is doubtful due to a calf injury. If Sylla starts, he is likely to assume captaincy duties, as he did in the previous game, while Mohamed Bayo should spearhead the attack.
Senegal faces the potential absence of defender Moussa Niakhite once more, as he missed the second game due to an injury sustained in the first. Midfielder Lamine Camara and striker Habib Diallo are also doubtful, having gone off injured in the 3-1 win over Cameroon in the last match. There is a possibility that Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson could earn his first start of the tournament in the forward position, while veteran Idrissa Gueye might be included in the starting 11.

Our Guinea vs Senegal Prediction
With a place in the knockout stages already secure, Senegal are likely to hand starts to a few of their squad players in this one. Despite this, the Lions of Teranga have more than enough strength in depth and will certainly not want to lose this match as they look to maintain momentum heading to the next round. This should be a quality match, but we’re staying away from the 1x2 market. Our Guinea vs Senegal prediction: Senegal Over 0.5.
