Guinea-Bissau vs Egypt Prediction & Betting Tips - World Cup

Week four of CAF World Cup Qualifying will see Guinea-Bissau taking on Egypt on Monday evening. The hosts are currently in second place in Group A, while the visitors lead the group standings. After finishing bottom of the group with three consecutive losses at the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year, Guinea-Bissau have fared much better in this competition so far. After the first three matches, they are still unbeaten and currently on five points, including a win and two draws. That victory came against Djibouti last November, while the stalemates were against Burkina Faso last year and Ethiopia on Thursday evening. Following the result against Ethiopia, Djurtus are now winless in their last five matches in all competitions, though it did bring an end to a four-match losing streak. At home, Guinea-Bissau have a record of five wins two draws and three losses in their last ten games but they did lose to this opponent in their only previous meeting back in 2022. 

Meanwhile, Egypt also had a fairly underwhelming AFCON campaign. They finished second in their group behind Cape Verde and were sent packing from the competition in the Round of 16 by DR Congo. Since then, they have played two friendlies, beating New Zealand 1-0 on March 22 before losing 4-2 to Croatia four days later. In this competition, though, they have been flawless so far, notching up three wins in a row and already four points ahead of their closest challengers. The Pharaohs have beaten Djibouti, Sierra Leone and Burkina Faso to date, scoring ten goals in those games while only conceding one. In away matches, Egypt are unbeaten in their last four games (excluding AFCON matches) and have scored two or more goals in each of those fixtures. As a result, they are unsurprisingly the favourites in this one.
