After a stable start to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Campaign in which they held hosts Gabon to a 1-1 draw, newcomers Guinea Bissau went on to lose 2-1 to Cameroon, ultimately dropping to the bottom of Group A. Cameroon now lead the group although they are not yet clear and have to win their next match for a guaranteed slot in their next round. Bissau also have a chance of advancing if they convincingly beat Burkina Faso and Cameroon beat Gabon. The Burkinabe have, so far, managed two 1-1 draws, against Gabon and Cameroon. With two points, they can proceed to the next level with a win against Bissau.
