Groningen vs Ajax Prediction & Betting Tips - Eredivisie

With three matches left to go in the Eredivisie, 17th placed and already relegated Groningen will play host to Ajax who are third in the table. The hosts will have to prepare for life in the Eerste Divisie next season following their 1-1 draw in their last match against the Go Ahead Eagles, which was not enough to keep their survival hopes alive. Groningen are second-from-bottom in the Eredivisie table, having only managed to register 18 points in 31 matches this season. The hosts are two points above fellow relegation side Cabuur and 10 points behind Excelsior, with nine points left to play for. Groningen are on an eight-match winless run, which includes just one draw and seven defeats, while at home, they've only managed to take 12 points of a possible 45 this season, with a record of three wins, three draws, and nine losses. 

Meanwhile, Ajax will likely be passing their domestic title to Feyenoord later in the day when the current league leaders take on the Go Ahead Eagles, needing one more win to secure the trophy. Ajax are  in thrid place and that will only take them into next season's Europa League. The top two go into the Champions League and Ajax are five points behind PSV with three games remaining.  The visitors also drew their last match against AZ last week, which followed a major disappointment in the KNVB Beker Cup where they were beaten on penalties by PSV. Over their last six league matches, Ajax have won two, drawn two, and lost two, while their away record this season reads as nine wins, four draws, and two losses in 15 matches on the road.
