Greece are faced with a must-win game as they prepare to host Spain in Group B of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. Both sides are well placed to contest for a place at the World Cup but second placed Spain are better, having 13 points, two behind Sweden. Greece are third with nine points, and any result other than a win will be detrimental to their journey. The hosts’ chances are affected by the fact they have lesser goals and conceded more than the teams above them, so their goal difference is way inferior. In their last game, they suffered a 2-0 loss to Sweden and they go to this game with just one clean sheet in the six matches played in this group. They have two wins in the group and will be hoping to do better than the 1-1 draw they managed against Spain in the earlier meeting.
