Greece host Kosovo in a game that already has the character of a first-place decider in a group also consisting of Cyprus and Northern Ireland. The Greek team are in flying form at the moment and with three wins in three, lead the group. The appointment of Gus Poyet has completely revitalised a squad that looked to have hit its glass ceiling in the years 2004-2014, when they also won a surprise European Championship. They also tend to perform fairly well away from home of late, having just one defeat in their last five away games, including draws against Switzerland and current opponents Greece. They have not managed to beat Greece however in the five games they have played since 2020, with two defeats and three draws.
