Granada host holders Valencia in the quarter finals of the Copa del Rey. The newly promoted side are tenth in La Liga, six points behind the final Europa League position. They were at the top of the table early in the season with only two losses in their first ten league games. Four of their next five games were lost but current form is steady with five wins in their last seven league and cup games. The other two games were away losses to Barcelona and Sevilla. Saturday saw them come from behind to beat Espanyol 2-1. To reach the last eight of this competition, Granada have had four away wins against lower league teams.
Valencia won the Copa del Rey last season and are currently fifth in La Liga, two points adrift of the final Champions League place. The weekend saw them beat relegation threatened Celta Vigo with a goal 13 minutes from time. They have won their last four games, two in this cup and two in La Liga. Away form isn't always that good though as shown when recently losing 4-1 at Mallorca and only drawing at Real Valladolid, both below Granada in the league table. It was also a struggle in the last round of this competition neeing a penalty shoot-out to get past Cultural Leonesa. A bet on both teams to score looks the best way to get a winner from this match.
