Granada vs Real Madrid Prediction & Betting Tips - LaLiga
by Daniel Ngulu | in LaLiga Predictions
Real Madrid are on course for the La Liga title and will pay a visit to Granada in this quest, on Match Day 36. The two sides go to this game separated by 30 points; Granada on 50 in 9th place and Real on 80 and top of the league. Granada are seven points behind fifth placed Villarreal and after their win over Real Sociedad, they will have reason to believe they can push for a high finish. Targeting at least a seventh placed finish sounds realistic though. They have won two and drawn one in their last three matches and the momentum is there, though with Real Madrid’s ambitions, they know this is going to be tough. Granada started well when the league resumed, beating Getafe, but thereafter went on a four match winless run and their current run of three unbeaten matches should give them the needed motivation for the remaining three games. The team has scored in each of the last four, and in the last three they have scored two or more goals. That scoring form will come under a real test from Real Madrid, the team with the best defence in the league. The hosts have the second least goal difference among the teams in the top 10 (+3) and having conceded two goals in each of their last two matches, they will need to tighten up against Real. It hasn’t also been easy at home for Granada in recent matches; they have lost to Villarreal and Eibar, then drew with Valencia in their most recent home game. Furthermore, they have no clean sheet at home in their last five matches but most of their wins have come at home this season (nine of 14 in La Liga) and they have failed to score in just three of the 17 league games at home.
Real Madrid, on their part, have been a different side since the return of football. They had one win in five at the time of the forced break and it seemed Barcelona would coast to another league title. However, Real have turned the tide and are on eight straight wins since the league resumed and have taken a four-point lead over Barcelona. They need two wins from the remaining three games to be confirmed champions and they don’t seem to be losing their grip. The 2-0 win over struggling Deportivo Alaves handed them their fifth straight clean sheet. Real have scored 15 goals in the eight matches since football returned and they have won four penalties in their last six matches, which also points to their strength in attack. Meanwhile, they have done well defensively, conceding just two goals in the eight matches. Real Madrid went to the Alaves game with skipper Sergio Ramos and Dani Carvajal suspended and will be glad to welcome them back well rested for the remaining matches, which gives Real a bigger edge here.

Our Granada vs Real Madrid Prediction
Real Madrid are the form team in La Liga at the moment and with the league title in sight, they will want to give all for another win here. Being four points ahead of Barcelona and needing six points from the remaining three matches, they cannot afford to lose focus. They have a fine run, not just in attack but also defensively and will be getting key defenders back from suspension, which makes them even stronger. As for Granada, it has not been an easy run at home after the resumption; they are on three winless matches at home and trying to break that against Real Madrid is going to be tough. The hosts have also not been keeping many clean sheets in recent home matches and this may haunt them here. Though they have scored in most of their home matches, facing the league’s best defence will call for a lot. We are backing Real Madrid for a 2-0 win here.
