Ghana have not had the best of starts to the qualification campaign to the 2018 World Cup, failing to win their opening two matches and sitting third so far, as they head to the Friday 1st September clash against Congo, the only other winless team in the group. Ghana have drawn with Uganda and lost to Group E leaders Egypt in the opening qualifiers and they will have a sort of joy when they head to this game. They have never lost to Congo and this is their chance to kick start their qualification campaign. The African giants have had a bad run, going winless in their last four outings. Congo are winless in the last seven away matches – two draws and three losses in their last five and playing away from home, they have drawn once and lost each of the preceding four, scoring four and conceding nine in the process. Congo have managed just three wins in their last 10 away World Cup qualifying matches. Head to head, these two sides have met four times and Ghana have won each of those.
