A late European push from Getafe will have to go through the top-four aspirations of Athletic Bilbao in La Liga this week. The matchday 34 at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez Stadium on Friday will have the hosts Getafe starting tenth with 43 points and the visitors Athletic Bilbao fifth with 58 points. Getafe are six points behind the top-seven ahead of this round and can make a late push for European qualification. For that to happen, though, the hosts need to win here. Now that the Cup is won, Athletic will look to put their entire focus on finishing in the top four spots. One challenge they will have to overcome is their poor recent form away from home. Athletic have lost three of their last four away league games, winning only once, which suggests they could struggle for impact here.
