The last two Germany games have seen them lose friendlies to Brazil and Austria, the latter coming at the weekend and being a lot more surprising than the first loss. Germany last lost three successive games in 1940 but they go into this match on a run of five games without a win having drawn three matches before the two defeats. Failure to win against Saudi Arabia will mean they take on Mexico in their opening World Cup game without a win since October 2017. It'd be a great stat but unlikely to happen as even a German side not firing on all cylinders should be able to beat Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia qualified for Russia on goal difference ahead of Australia and away from home only won against the two bottom sides in the table. Their last two games have seen a 2-1 defeat in Italy and a 3-0 home loss to Peru so it's not going too well as they prepare to take on Russia in the opening game of the World Cup tournament on June 14. Their last three away games have seen them concede ten goals and in 2002 they met Germany in the World Cup and lost 8-0. Go for Germany to win this match to get back in winning ways and ruin all my stats. They can be ahead at both half and full time.

Germany won't be too worried yet but another loss here might start them off. They do tend to have the occasional blip in friendlies but should be able to get a win over Saudi Arabia. Their opponents didn't do bad only losing 2-1 in Italy but then lost 3-0 to Peru. Go for Germany to win and be leading at both half and full time.
