Germany vs Latvia Prediction & Betting Tips - International Friendlies
by Daniel Ngulu | in Football Predictions
Germany are set to welcome a number of their stars for their second and last warm up game against Latvia ahead of Euro 2020. They played to a 1-1 draw with Denmark in the first. Against Denmark, Florian Neuhaus scored for Germany then Yussuf Poulsen leveled. The availability of Toni Kroos for this game remains in doubt as he has been isolating but Antonio Rudiger, Ilkay Gundogan, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz are set to return. Germany will definitely be stronger in this second game considering they are also high above Latvia in world rankings. The former world champions are coming from two straight winless outings, and in their last five matches, they have suffered two losses, the biggest of them a 6-0 thrashing by Spain. At home, Germany have scored in each of their last 18 matches. Apart from Kroos, Bayern duo of Jamal Musiala and Leon Goretzka are also major doubts for this game.
Latvia saw off Lithuania 3-1 in a Baltic Cup game on Friday, making it the second straight game they’ve scored three goals, after earlier drawing 3-3 with Turkey. Those two matches may paint a picture of a very attacking side. While it remains hard to lock out Latvia, they’ve scored mostly against lower ranked teams, except for Turkey maybe. They netted five against Andorra and three against San Marino in recent matches. Latvia have actually failed to score in one of their last seven matches, against Netherlands. They last faced Germany at Euro 2004, that game ended 0-0. They finished bottom of their Euro 2020 qualifying group, taking three points only from 10 games and they are already struggling in the World Cup qualifiers. With one clean sheet only in the last five matches, they stand no chance against Germany, who are looking to go to the Euro 2020 finals on a high.

Our Germany vs Latvia Prediction
Latvia have a good scoring touch, and will hope it shows in this game. Here they will however be dominated, unlike in the Baltic Cup. Germany are welcoming back a number of their stars and after the draw with Denmark, thus they will be stronger. They’ve been shaky defensively and in Latvia’s scoring form, Germany may struggle to completely lock them out but a complete dominance from Germany is sure, so back the home team to win both halves..
