Germany vs England Prediction & Betting Tips - International Friendlies

Both teams continue their build-up for the Euro 2016 tournament. Germany are reigning World Champions of course and would love to repeat Spain's achievement of becoming World and European champions at the same time. Recent form hasn't been great though with a loss in France and to Ireland in the final stages of the Euro 2016 qualifiers. This time last year they also drew a home friendly with Australia and lost to the USA. Friendlies are of course used for plenty of experimentation so they aren't really a great guide to how a side is progressing. With the European Championships so close I think Germany will be taking this a lot more seriously and they haven't lost at home since that defeat by the USA. England had that impressive looking qualification but didn't really have that much to beat in their group. Their last three away friendlies haven't produced any wins with a bad 2-0 defeat in Spain and draws in Ireland and Italy. They will be introducing some new blood into this game with Drinkwater from Leicester expected to play a part. Joe Hart is out injured and they've lost Raheem Sterling too. I go for a Germany win here.
