Georgia vs Spain Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro

Georgia will hope to take advantage of playing at home when they host Spain in 2024 Euro qualifying on Friday. The two nations are competing in Group A where Georgia are currently second and Spain fourth. Georgia have amassed four points from their first three qualifiers and lead Spain by a point. They however have much ground to cover if they are to catch leaders Scotland. Willy Sagnol’s men, who are tied with third on the table Norway, are a massive eight points adrift of top spot. The Crusaders were unbeaten in their first two fixtures in the group before a 2-0 defeat away to Scotland last time out. Georgia’s superb home record at the moment will have them confident of bouncing back with this match. The Eastern European’s have not lost at home in seven outings with five of those fixtures ending in victory. Georgia had a superb Nations League campaign last season and earned promotion from League C to B. This allows them qualification to the playoffs for the race to Germany if they are unable to qualify from their group.

Spain will also play in the playoffs if they are unable to finish among the top two teams in Group A. La Roja earned this after they won last season’s Nations League. Luis de la Fuente’s men topped their Nations League group but have struggled in the early rounds for the race to Germany. Credit to them though is that they have played two fewer matches than Scotland and have a game in hand on Georgia. Spain began the campaign with an impressive 3-0 success at home against Norway before losing 2-0 away to Scotland. That loss in March ended a 19-game unbeaten run for the Red Fury in Euro qualifying. A run that started in 2014 and saw them claim victory 17 times. They will be eager to get right back on the horse and their record against Georgia will have them confident of doing so. Spain have won four of the five meetings between these two nations with two of their victories coming while away. The three-time European champions have however struggled with their form recently and have lost three of their last six matches.
