Georgia vs Norway Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro

Georgia will begin their 2024 Euro qualifying campaign on Tuesday when they host Norway in Batumi. The home side have lost both their previous matches against Norway but not played them in over 20 years. They  come into this match on the back of an emphatic 6-1 friendly win at home over Mongolia on Saturday and this should give them the necessary confidence for this challenge. This s a much tougher game for them though. Giorgi Chakvetadze grabbed himself a brace in the win and should have had himself a hat trick but missed from the spot. He should keep his place here with Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia set to return after being rested for the Mongolia game.

Spain and Norway are the favourites to qualify from this group but the latter has had the worst possible start and will seek an immediate response here. Their form however coming into this match won’t have Georgia overly worried as it shows that they can be defeated with a well-organized game plan. Norway will continue to be without lethal frontman Erling Haaland due to injury and this should again make it difficult for them upfront but they still have the attacking threat to trouble a Georgia team that has not kept a clean sheet in their last three matches.
