Inter Milan will be aiming to continue their dominance in the Serie A when they travel to face Genoa on Friday night. The hosts are currently 13th, while the visitors lead the league standings. Newly promoted Genoa have laid a solid foundation in their first season back in the top flight. They have managed 19 points in 17 league games to date and are already six points clear of Cagliari, who are the first side below the dotted line. The Griffins have a record of five wins, four draws and eight losses this season. Their last outing ended in a 2-1 victory over Sassuolo and snapped up a seven-match winless run in away games. At home, though, they have been difficult to beat and are unbeaten in their last four games, including two wins and two draws. They have only lost two of eight home games this season and held Napoli to a 2-2 draw here before beating Roma 4-1 a week later back in September. Still, against the league leaders, the bookies make the hosts clear underdogs in this one. 

Meanwhile, after ending a full 18 points behind Napoli last season, Inter Milan have made an excellent start to the 2023-24 league campaign. They have led the way for the majority of the first half of the season and are now on 44 points, four points clear of their closest rivals, Juventus, in second place. Over the course of the season, Inter have only been beaten once, while they have won 14 and drawn two of the remaining 16 matches. Nerazzurri won their last league game 2-0, beating Lecce at home. That result marked their fourth consecutive league win and was their 11 consecutive match without a loss. In addition, that result was the visitors' fourth consecutive clean sheet kept while they scored two or more goals in each of those games. The last match between these sides ended 0-0 last season, which followed a run of seven consecutive wins for Inter over this opponent. Nerazzurri were last beaten by Genoa in 2018, and since then, they have not conceded a single goal to them while scoring 25 of their own.
