The first leg ended 1-1 and the winner of this match will go on to play Scottish side Rangers in the third qualifying round. The loser will be transferred to the Europa League main path third qualifying round. The Belgians would have rued missing out on a win in the first leg as they conceded a 77th minute goal to lose the lead. They did follow that up with a 4-0 win in their first league match of the campaign, so the confidence would be high. That said, the hosts have a long-standing poor record in this competition. The Swiss visitors have now gone unbeaten across 14 matches going back to previous season. This could be Servette’s best chance to make a mark in their debut season of the Champions League. With their last four matches this season witnessing goals at both ends, there could be more action in this game.
