Genk went through the long winded process that Belgian clubs have to go through to qualify for the Europa League.They finished 5th in the league and won 11 of their 15 home league matches in the regular season. It's not been that easy for them though in the Europa League qualifying rounds. They took on Buducnost Podgorica in the second qualifying round and it all seemed to be going smoothly after a 2-0 home win in the first leg. However, they lost the second leg 2-0 and had to rely on penalties to get through.  Cork City have beaten Linfield 2-1 on aggregate in the first qualifying round and then BK Hacken in the next round. This is only their second European campaign since 2009 and it looks as if their successes are going to come to an end here against a much stronger side.
