Gaziantep are looking to rise from fifth to joint top of the Turkish Super Lig table when they get to host current leaders Alanyaspor. The two sides face off on Sunday in one of the big games as the league enters Round 15. Host Gaziantep are on 24 points, three below Alanyaspor, who also have much superior goal difference. Gaziantep, however, have had a fine run in their recent matches, and heading here they have four straight wins and are unbeaten in their last 14 matches. In their last 10 matches, Gaziantep have eight wins; they have scored two or more goals in the last six matches and have one clean sheet in the last five matches. Going to this round of matches, Gaziantep have the least losses in the league (1) and have conceded more than a goal in just one of the last 10 matches. Meanwhile, they have scored in eight of their last 10 matches, in four of them scoring two or more goals. In their last outing, they let go of a one-goal lead to draw 1-1 with Yemi Malatyaspor making it two straight league matches without a win. They have one win and no clean sheet in the last five league matches. In the five league matches they have lost three and failed to score in two. It has not been any better when playing away from home; they have lost each of the last three away league games and failed to score in the last two. Defensively, they may have conceded in most of their recent matches, but it hasn’t been with very big margins – they have conceded more than a goal in just one of the last seven away league games.
