Gambia, playing in their first ever AFCON finals are the shock leaders in Group F of the 2021 tournament ahead of Mali and former champions Tunisia. They will take on Tunisia in their final match of the group. Ahead of the game Gambia have four points and Tunisia are a point below, in third place. Gambia are coming from a 1-1 draw with Mali, having earlier beaten Mauritania, to place themselves in pole position in the group. Each of their last seven matches has produced under 2.5 goals, underlining their low scoring nature. Gambia have actually scored more than a goal in just two of their last 10 matches. They will be hoping for a second win over Tunisia having beaten the North African nation 2-1 in a 2010 friendly meeting.

Tunisia paid the price for calamitous refereeing in their opening game, against Mali, but they also took a fair share of the blame for failing to use their chances in the 1-0 loss. They however recovered to thump Mauritania 4-0 on Match Day 2 and will be out to finish the first round strongly. With just two clean sheets in the last five matches they will be targeting an improvement in attack. Three of their last four matches have produced under 2.5 goals and they’ve failed to score in two of the last five matches. Wahbi Khazri had his penalty save in the loss to Mali but Tunisia will be glad the forward got to the score sheet twice in the win over Mauritania. Seifeddine Jaziri was also on the mark in this game and Tunisia will have some good potency going into that game.
