Third placed Galatasaray are still in the running for the Turkish Super Lig title despite a recent poor run and after getting their first win in four matches, will hope to build on when they host Trabzonspor. Galatasaray have 65 points, six ahead of fourth placed Trabzonspor ahead of this game. The hosts are coming from a 3-1 wins away to Goztepe and though they got back to winning ways after a draw and two losses, the defensive frailty is still clear, having conceded nine goals in the last four league matches, and scoring six. They’ll be hoping for a good turn at home, having failed to win the last three but have scored two or more in four of the last five home league matches.

Trabzonspor go to this game unbeaten in their last six matches but five of them, are draws. Their only win in the last six matches came against 15th placed Ankaragucu and their last four matches, all which have ended in draws, have produced under 2.5 goals. Trabzonspor have failed to score in two of the four. They beat Besiktas earlier in the season and head to this game holding ambitions to play in Europe next season so it won’t be an easy outing for Galatasaray. It is worth noting too that they have just two losses, and eight wins in the last 13 league matches but have scored more than a goal in just two of 10 league matches. Away from home, Trabzonspor have three straight draws, all ending 0-0. In the 17 away league matches played this season, they’ve managed eight wins and lost just one.
