Galatasaray vs Samsunspor Prediction & Betting Tips - Super Lig

Samsunspor will be away to Galatasaray on Saturday in search of their first Turkish Super Lig win of the season. Both teams have had contrasting starts to the season with Galatasaray in third place in the standings and Samsunspor 18th. Galatasaray will hope to pick up from where they left off before the September international break. The hosts had won five straight matches with two of those coming in the league. They beat Gaziantep 3-0 in their last match to keep intact their unbeaten start to the season. Okan Buruk’s men have racked up seven points from three matches and trail leaders Fenerbahce by two points. The defending league champions have turned Rams Park into a fortress. Galatasaray haven’t lost a league match at home in over a year. They have won 16 of the 18 matches they have hosted in the league since losing 1-0 to Giresunspor back in August 2022.

Samsunspor are having a difficult start to their return to the top flight after 11 years. They returned as champions of the second tier, winning 22 of 35 games. So far they have been unable to register a win and have lost two of their three league games. They sit third from bottom with one point. Huseyin Eroglu’s men began the campaign with a positive 1-1 draw away to Sivasspor. This was as good as it would get as they lost their next two matches, conceding four goals and scoring just once. The Red Lighting lost 2-1 away to Kayserispor in their last match before the recently concluded international break. They did however use the free time to play a build-up match and thumped second-tier team Giresunspor 6-1. The huge win should have them confident of their attacking abilities going into Saturday’s match. Samsunspor have lost the last four most recent meetings with Galatasaray.
