Galatasaray vs Fenerbahce Istanbul Prediction & Betting Tips - Super Lig

Super Lig champions, Galatasaray, will play host to their rivals, Fenerbahce, who are in second place on Sunday. Both sides' penultimate games were canceled due to the withdrawal of Hatayspor and Gaziantep from the league following the devastating earthquakes in Turkey. That meant that both these sides were awarded the three points, which was enough for the hosts to clinch the title. Galatasaray maintained their five-point lead over Fenerbahce by beating Ankaragucu 4-1 in their last match. That win extended their win streak to four matches. The hosts have been very good at NEF Stadyumu this season, losing just once in 17 matches. That loss came in their first home game of the season, meaning they come into this one unbeaten in 16 home games which includes 14 wins and two draws. Galatasaray won the reverse fixture 3-0 back in January and will want to pick up a win here before they get their celebrations started. 

Meanwhile, Fenerbahce will likely have to settle for the Champions League qualifiers next season, but they are not guaranteed of anything just yet. The visitors are three points ahead of Besiktas, and a loss here could see them end level. Fenerbahce does hold a better goal difference of six goals, though, so it would take a huge win for the side in third to get past them. The visitors also picked up a win in their last match, beating Antalyaspor 2-0 and extending their unbeaten run to eight matches, including six wins and two draws. They also have a very good away record this season, with 12 wins, three draws, and just two losses in 17 matches on the road. Fenerbahce are unbeaten in their last 10 away matches with eight wins and two draws. While they cannot win the league title, they will want a good performance here as they prepare for their Turkish Cup final next weekend against Istanbul Basaksehir.
