Galatasaray vs Fenerbahce Istanbul Prediction & Betting Tips - Super Cup

Galatasaray will battle eternal rivals Fenerbahce on Friday in the Turkish Super Cup. The match will be played in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia between the defending Super Lig and Turkish Cup champions. This is the second time in less than a week that these two teams are facing off. The first match, played on Christmas Eve, saw both teams battle to a 0-0 draw in the league. Galatasaray are playing in the annual tournament for the 25th time in their history which is a tournament record. They are doing so as domestic league champions. The capital club has also won the tournament a record 16 times with three of those coming against Fenerbahce. This strong record should have Okan Buruk’s men confident of success. Cimbom, who haven't lost in three meetings with Fenerbahce, have seen a dip in form recently. They have failed to win in two of their last three games, losing once.

The 0-0 draw last weekend in a top-of-the-table clash ended Fenerbahce’s four-game winning run. It did however extend their current unbeaten run to five matches. Ismail Kartal’s men will therefore arrive here in better shape and confident of a win. A win can also be a huge shot in the arm in the title race and can also halt Gala in their tracks. The two teams are tied on points in the domestic league table and are the two runaway leaders. Fenerbahce are playing in their 19th Super Cup. They have won the title nine times and three of those have come against Galatasaray. Their last title came in 2014 which is also the last time they played in the tournament. The Yellow Canaries qualified for this final as Turkish Cup champions.
