Besiktas are looking for a way back into the Super Lig title race when they travel to Istanbul for their game with Galatasaray on Sunday. The visitors, fifth in the table, are six points behind fourth-placed Sivasspor; fourth place being the last European place in the Turkish top flight. Galatasaray, level on points with Sivasspor and three points behind the top two, are third in the table. Unbeaten in their last nine Super Lig matches, Galatasaray have been particularly strong at home, winning their last five at the Turk Telekom Stadium. Furthermore, Galatasaray were winning all of those matches at half-time as well as full-time. In this fixture, home advantage is key. The last five matches between these teams have been won by the team playing at home with three wins for Besiktas and two for Galatasaray. This is an opportunity for Galatasaray to continue the sequence and level up the scores.
