Gabon and Morocco meet at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in the final round match of Group C. Gabon are on four points from their two matches while Morocco have six points. Gabon need just a draw to qualify while a win will see them top the group. They are three points ahead of third placed Ghana and a loss for them and a Ghana win could see them knocked out. If this scenario does unfold they can still qualify as one of the best third placed teams. Gabon have only one win in their last five matches with that win coming against Comoros earlier in the tournament. In their previous five matches with Morocco they have only won once but that victory was in the last match played between the sides.

Morocco have started the tournament in great fashion with two win on the trot to comfortably sit at the top of the group. They have already qualified for the knockout round and if they can avoid defeat they will progress as the group winner. In their last 31 matches Morocco have only lost once with that defeat being a loss on penalties against Algeria in the Arab Cup. The main reason for this incredible run of results has been their miserly defence as they have only conceded one goal in their last eight matches. Their goal scoring record is also excellent having found the back of the net in their last 15 matches.
