After a disappointing start that saw them draw 1-1 with first-timers Guinea Bissau in their first match of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, hosts Gabon return to the Stade d'Angondje where they play their second group opponents Burkina Faso. In the opening match, Gabon took a lead on the 52nd minute through a Pierre-Emmerick Aubameyang strike. Jacques Zoua and Clinton Njie played a critical role in ensuring that Bissau remained in contention for an equalizer and they will be among the players to watch in the Wednesday match. Aubameyang, Malick Evouna and Denis Bouanga will leade José Antonio Camacho’s quest for victory and it should not be surprising if any of them scores.
