Craven Cottage is all set to host a battle of two strugglers in the league, as Fulham welcomes West Bromwich Albion this Sunday. Winless so far, the two sides are rooted at the lower reaches of the league table, separated by two points. Hosts Fulham are rock bottom on one point and West Brom have so far managed three points and are 17th. The Londoners’ only point this season came from a 1-1 draw with another struggling side, Sheffield United. They are finding it tough on their return to the Premier League and have particularly been unable to cope defensively. Fulham have so far conceded 14 goals, have no clean sheet and are among favorites to get relegated at the end of the season. In their last game, they were unlucky not to earn a point against Crystal Palace as they lost 2-1. It got worse for them as Aboubacar Kamara was sent off and will be unavailable for this clash. In their six league matches, Fulham have conceded two or more goals in four and have lost each of their three opening home matches.

West Bromwich Albion are also finding it tough on their return to the top flight, though theirs is not as bad as Fulham’s. Thrice in their opening six matches, they have been able to collect points, but are still winless. Comparing the two sides, West Brom have been better, and they head to this game on just one loss in the last four matches in the league. The Baggies have drawn their last two matches ahead of this clash and are hoping they can go one better. In their last game, they clawed back late to draw. In one of their matches this season, they drew 3-3 with Chelsea and in all honesty, they should have won that game. At least they have showed some muscle in handling their way in the top flight and this game, they will look at as a winnable clash. They have lost two of their opening three away matches and after going winless over Fulham in the last nine matches, they will hope it happens here. Six of the last nine meetings between these two sides have ended in draws.
