Fulham face Tottenham Hotspur at Craven Cottage on Saturday in the evening kick off (5.30pm). The home side have won eight of their 14 home games this season, drawing just the one and losing the other five. With 35 points from their 28 games, they lie 12th in the table and comfortably outside the relegation battle, but also way off the race for the European places too. It is fair to say that the home team's form has been erratic this season. They are the last team to beat Arsenal, defeated Nottingham Forest and West Ham 5-0 in successive home games and recently won away at Old Trafford against Manchester United. But last weekend they lost to Wolves at Molineux. Seven of their last nine home games have seen over 2.5 goals scored, which suggests we could see goals on Saturday, especially against this particular opponent.

Since Spurs beat Fulham 2-0 back in October last year, only one game involving Tottenham has seen under 2.5 goals (a 2-0 away win over Nottingham Forest in December). In those 18 games, both teams have scored 16 times and over 2.5 goals has occurred 17 times. The Londoners are now on a good run of games, having won eight, drawn two and lost two of their last 12 matches. Their 4-0 win away to Aston Villa last weekend closed them right up on the heels of the Villains so they now sit just two points behind Villa in fourth, but with a game in hand. One issue that may be a concern is just one win in their last four away games, which will certainly give Fulham hope of getting something here given the home side's good form at Craven Cottage. However, the data suggests that while Fulham should score, Spurs should too. So it may be a question of the team that is the most clinical in front of goal that will be the team to take the points on Saturday.
