Playing well away from home is going to be vitally important for Newcastle United this season. Last year in the Premier League they only managed nine points away from home compared to 28 at home. It has to be better this year if they are to have any hope of making it back to the Premier League at the first attempt. Fulham also had a disappointing season last year and finished a lowly 20th but 11 points clear of the relegation zone. Home form wasn't that great with ten defeats and only relegated MK Dons had more home losses. They suffered a big blow this week when top striker Ross McCormack moved to Aston Villa after scoring 38 goals for them in his time with the club. Newcastle fans will be delighted but a bit surprised that they still have Rafael Benitez as their manager despite being relegated to the Championship.  There have been some players leave during the summer but plenty of good signings too including Mohamed Diame from Hull, Ciaran Clark from Aston Villa, Grant Hanley from Blackburn and Isaac Hayden from Arsenal. They certainly look stronger than Fulham and can get their season off to a winning start.
