Fulham are back in the English Premier League and have been busy in the transfer market this summer. They have made some impressive signings including signing striker Aleksander Mitrovic from Newcastle United on a permanent basis, Callum Chambers on loan from Arsenal, Andre Schurrle from Borussia Dortmund and Alfie Mawson from Swansea City for £20m. Those acquisitions bode well for the new season and they will be hoping to continue their form from last season. Over the last 30 games of the season, Fulham earned five points more than any other team in the Championship and their last 15 home games produced 12 wins and three draws.  Fulham only lost two home league games last season conceding 17 goals and will need to do well at Craven Cottage to stay out of trouble.

Their opponents will just be hoping for a better start than last season. Crystal Palace failed to get a point from their first seven games and didn't even score a goal and didn't get on the scoresheet in an away league game until December. In the end they finished 11th in the table, something they could only have dreamed about when Roy Hodgson took over as manager. Over the last 25 games of the season only seven teams got more points than Palace. Unless something happens on transfer deadline day it's been a quiet summer for them in terms of transfers. They will be hoping to keep Wilfried Zaha who was so important for them but have lost the services of Loftus-Cheek who has returned to Chelsea. Despite improvement, Palace only won four away league games last season and Fulham look a good bet to open their season with a home win.
