The win away to Bologna was a big boost for Frosinone and they are now four points below the safety line in Serie A. It was only their first win in 11 matches and second in Serie A this season. No team has scored lesser than Frosinone’s tally this season and no team has conceded more than them; this says all about the quality they carry to the game. Both their wins in Serie A this season have come away from home and against struggling sides (Bologna and SPAL) and here they will have a real challenge to their survival credentials as they seek a first home win. It has been tough for Frosinone since their promotion at the start of the season and they have only managed five clean sheets in the 21 matches played. Their last win at home in Serie A came back in 2016 and it remains the only one in 17 matches. Lazio on the other hand, will be confident after eliminating Inter from the cup on post match penalties and will be gunning for their first win in four matches. They have not had a very good run lately and have posted just four wins in their last 15 matches; they are winless in the last three Serie A matches and have managed just two wins in 10 league games. It has also not been so rosy for them away from home in the league, as they have one win in the last five and that came against the struggling Bologna. This will be only the fourth meeting between the two sides in history; Frosinone have never beaten Lazio. The first three have ended in two wins for Lazio and a draw.
