Frosinone are targeting a first ever win over AC Milan when the two face off in the Italian Serie A. Milan will be looking to cement their hold on third place while Frosinone are just five points above the relegation zone. This hasn’t been a fixture Frosinone have looked forward to so much, having lost three times in their five meetings. They have however only failed to score in two of their five meetings with Milan, and kept one clean sheet. Three of their last five meetings with Milan have produced over 2.5 goals. After a run of heavy defeats, Frosinone have injected some stability in their last two games. Their most recent outing ended in a 1-1 draw with Verona, Kaio Jorge scoring the equalizer after going down just before half time. That draw came on the heels of a 3-1 win over Cagliari. When Frosinone last faced two sides in the top four, they lost 5-0 to Atalanta in Serie A after a 4-0 loss to Juventus in the Coppa Italia. Their attempt at a comeback had earlier fallen flat as they lost 3-2 to Monza. In all their last five matches, only one has had under 2.5 goals – the most recent. At home, eight of the last 10 matches had over 2.5 goals, and both sides scored in nine.

AC Milan, like Frosinone, come into this game having picked up some stable results. Their 2-2 draw with Bologna in the last game marked a third unbeaten outing. However, it ended their chase for a third straight win. Milan will feel disappointed after working from a goal down then conceding in stoppage time to share spoils. Ruben Loftus-Cheek had just completed his brace, four the fourth goal in five matches before Riccardo Orsolini’s late leveler. Milan have to do it all over again here, with their dominance against Frosinone a key positive going to the game. They will also take a lot of positives in the fact they have scored three times in three of their last five matches. Milan’s only defeat in the last 10 matches was at home to Atalanta in the Coppa Italia. They are undefeated in four away matches, winning three, and all five on the road returning over 2.5 goals.
