Bayer Leverkusen will look to continue their surge toward the Bundesliga title when they travel to Europa-Park Stadion to face Freiburg on Sunday afternoon. The hosts are currently in eighth place in the league standings, while the visitors lead the way. Freiburg have had a mixed season to date and will be looking to bounce back from their midweek disappointment, where they suffered a hefty 5-0 defeat to West Ham United in the Europa League. However, with European commitments now out the window, they will be able to refocus their attention on the domestic competition, where they have major work to do if they intend to compete in the continental competitions again next season. The last competitive match they lost was on the final day of last season. This term, Leverkusen boast a record of 21 wins and four draws in 25 league games and are the only side in the top flight that are still unbeaten. On the road, they have taken 32 points from a possible 36 and are on a five-match winning streak coming into this one. The visitors won the reverse fixture 2-1 back in October and are unsurprisingly the bookmakers' favourite in this match.
