France vs South Africa Prediction & Betting Tips - International Friendlies
by Daniel Ngulu | in Football Predictions
France will play host to South Africa in their second friendly match, days after registering a 2-1 win over Ivory Coast. This will be the fifth meeting between these two nations. The last time the two met was at the 2010 World Cup, France in the middle of a national team scandal that wrecked their campaign. They lost 2-1 in that game but here they go in a much stronger position; as world champions and unbeaten in their last eight matches. France have six straight wins going into this game, and they’ve scored two or more in each of these six matches. Four of their last five matches have produced over 2.5 goals and they will go into this one looking to extend their great run. They are without the dependable Karim Benzema in this window but Olivier Giroud did well on his return. Drafted in as Benzema’s replacement, he scored in the win over Ivory Coast.
South Africa were very close to securing a place in the final round of qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup but a controversial away loss to Ghana means they can only play friendly matches in this window. They go into this game straight from a 0-0 draw with Guinea which leaves them winless in the last two matches and without a goal in the process. South Africa have however managed three clean sheets in their last four matches and one area they will be looking to address is the fact that away from home they haven’t scored in five of their last 10 matches. Against France, they are unbeaten in their last two matches, one a draw in a friendly that came before their 2-1 win at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. However, in their four matches against the reigning world champions, South Africa have managed just one clean sheet. They haven’t done so well away from home, failing to score in three of the last five and winning just two of them.

Our France vs South Africa Prediction
France are outright favourites in this game. They came from behind to beat Ivory Coast 2-1 and should be able to wrap up this international window with a win, especially given South Africa do not have a very impressive away run. Go for France to lead in both halves.
