Despite not having qualified for the last two major tournaments, The Netherlands are in League A of the European Nations League. That’s the good news but the bad news is they have to face France and Germany with the team finishing bottom being relegated to League B. An away game against the world champions isn’t the easiest of starts for the Dutch side. They warmed up for this game with a 2-1 home win over Peru having to come from behind to get the win. The Netherlands have only lost one of their last 11 games and before that run began they lost 4-0 away to France in a World Cup qualifier. Home form for the Dutch has seen them lose just one of the last six, a defeat by England earlier this year.
France began their European Nations League campaign with a goalless draw against Germany on Thursday evening. That was their first game since winning the World Cup in Russia and extended their unbeaten run to 12 games since losing a home friendly to Colombia in March 2018. A win here will put them in a strong position in this group but a draw or defeat could see the World Champions facing a relegation battle. They have a strong record against the Dutch in recent years with four wins in a row and the tip here is for to get a home win.
