France - Netherlands: Form Analysis
France’s last outing ended in disappointment; Kylian Mbappe scored a hat trick against Argentina at the World Cup final but they still lost the game, on post match penalties. A remarkable comeback from 2-0 down should have ideally ended in a win but it was not to be and these memories will flash when France goes into their first game since. In their last four matches, they’ve scored at least two goals in three. Three of France’s last five matches have produced over 2.5 goals and they have just one clean sheet in the five. In Euro qualification, France have lost once in 19 matches.
The Netherlands are also coming into this game having disappointed in their last game at the World Cup, and also at the hands of Argentina. The Dutch rallied from two goals down to end it 2-2 and they fell through post match penalties. Going into this game the Dutch have scored in each of the last five matches and the last two have ended in over 2.5 goals. In the last five matches they have just two clean sheets going into this game and in four of their last five matches, they have scored at least two goals.

France & Netherlands Squad Analysis
At the close of the 2022 World Cup France were dejected having come so close. They will start afresh here but without a number of names that have been synonymous with the national team. Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has retired and the skipper’s armband has now gone to Kylian Mbappe. Manchester United defender Raphael Varane is also retired and Karim Benzema too. Wesley Fofana and William Saliba are unavailable with injury. Lucas Hernandez is out too, as he hasn’t recovered from the injury sustained at the World Cup.
For the Dutch, Frenkie de Jong and Steven Bergwijn have left the squad after confirmation of their injuries. Georginio Wijnaldum is however back after missing the World Cup with injury.
