France vs Côte d'Ivoire Prediction & Betting Tips - International Friendlies
by Daniel Ngulu | in Football Predictions
France will miss a few key players as they go into a friendly match at home against Ivory Coast on Friday. The world champions have already secured a place at the 2022 World Cup and will use this game in Marseille to shape up. They have a seven-game unbeaten run and each of their last five matches ended in wins. France have scored two or more goals in each of their last five matches and kept three clean sheets in the process. Their main man in recent matches, Karim Benzema is out injured and has been replaced by Olivier Giroud but we expect Kylian Mbappe to lead the line. At club level it hasn’t been easy for Mbappe but he comes into this game having scored seven times in France’s last four matches. The last time these two nations faced off was back in 2016 and it ended 0-0. Earlier, France had beaten Ivory Coast 3-0 in a 2005 friendly match.
Ivory Coast have never met France competitively; both meetings have been in friendly matches and the Ivorians have failed to score a goal in both. They head into this game without an outright loss in the last four matches. In their last outing they did fall on post match penalties as they were eliminated from AFCON 2021 by Egypt. With two wins in the last five matches, and failing to score in two of those five matches render Ivory Coast the underdogs in this game. The African giants have lost in 90 minutes in just one game in their last 16 matches. They’ve however been less serious when playing friendly matches, as both teams have scored in seven of Ivory Coast’s last 10 friendly matches.

Our France vs Côte d'Ivoire Prediction
Karim Benzema’s absence in this game will be felt, especially after their established partnership with Kylian Mbappe. Giroud can play in this role but it will be recalled that he is here as a replacement, never the first choice. The Milan man may even start from the bench and in Mbappe’s form, we will back him to score.
