Life at the bottom can be tough at the best of times. For two of the Bundesliga's strugglers, the resumption of play is a chance to fight their way out of the mire they find themselves in. Bottom of the table, Paderborn travel to Fortuna Dusseldorf, two places above them in 16th, a relegation play-off spot, hoping to breathe new life into their campaign. Before the break in play, Paderborn found themselves floating in the abyss. Already anchoring the table, they lost four consecutive matches. They are winless in their last six matches. With more than two months to think, has manager Markus Gellhaus come up with a solution? One approach to the trip to Dusseldorf could be to adopt what worked on their last meeting when they beat Fortuna 2-0 at home. Set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, Paderborn had less of the ball and fewer shots. Despite riding their luck, they won the game by making plays from unusual positions i.e. shooting from distance and crossing from central areas. 

If Fortuna are to learn any lessons from that game it will be to press their opponents as they reach the final third. Grinding out results, in the few weeks before the break, they only lost one of their previous five Bundesliga matches. Up front, they have one of the best scorers in the top flight this season in Rouwen Hennings. The 32-year-old is strong and decent in the air. The goals dried up after the winter break but maybe the two-month gave him time to rediscover his mojo and add to his 11-goal tally. The lowest-scoring team alongside Werder Bremen, Fortuna will need him firing. We don't foresee a gung-ho thriller. Back against both teams scoring.
